I'm really glad there's a site where Larry can read our comments and correspond with us. I've only been watching OLTL for approximately 1 1/2 years and I really enjoy Larry as Sam. Unfortunately I have missed his performances on AMC and AW. I have become an avid fan since watching him on OLTL. I've never met him but have already made plans to come to the luncheon in April and can't wait. I would love to hear from others that have met him. Larry, I read in your interview on this site that you are taking dancing lessons. What types of dances are you learning? I took ballroom several years ago and it's a lot of fun. Hello again! It's Tuesday night and I just thought I'd pop in and see what's going on. Wow!!! I'm so amazed at all the responses. Thanks so much. I really appreciate hearing from you and thanks for all the nice comments. It makes what we do all the more gratifying to know you like what's going on, and I hope we can continue to keep you entertained! I saw today's air show, which we taped way back in mid December, and I personally really liked the Sam/Nora/Mathew scenes. Now, for the question as to what dance classes I'm taking, I'm focusing on Swing, and dabbling in Salsa, Foxtrot, and Waltz. It's a lot of fun and I highly recommend it to everyone! Thanks, Larry for answering my question about the dances you are taking. I enjoy the Waltz, Foxtrot and Swing too. I have never tried the Salsa. I loved the romantic scenes with Nora and Sam. They were definitely tape-to-keep segments. Are you as romantic as Sam? I know you like to read and I was wondering if you have ever heard of The Mysterious Bookshop on 56th St. between 6th and 7th Avenue? I found it on the internet and was planning to stop by when I come to New York in April for the luncheon. Can you recommend any good mystery books to read? Just so you know, I don't own a computer, I'm basically what they call 'computer-illiterate', I still write my personal letters long hand, (yes, with pen and paper, envelopes and stamps); I have to, or, I should say, I get to bug my downstairs neighbor friends, who just got their first computer, to look into what is, for me, a whole new amazing world. CYBER SPACE!!! EEAAEEYAAYAAYA! It's actually pretty cool, and I can see myself in the not too distant future breaking thru my resistance, (translated: PHOBIA), and getting one of these things myself, and if I do I'll owe it all to you guys because you're the only reason I'm in here to begin with! Answers to questions: I have enjoyed reading Lawrence Block a lot, but the master will always be Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Hillary B. Smith has been a joy to work with, as has been Catherine Hickland. Larry, I've got to say, I think it's really great that you actually take the time to read the guestbook and what we have to say. As for the computer phobia, resistance is futile. You just have to jump in and just surf around. believe me, you wouldn't believe how many times I crashed my pc before I figured out what the heck I was doing. The scary thing is that now people come to me with their computer questions......truly frightening.

Oh boy Larry, you've got us all wondering like crazy what's going to happen in March between Sam and Nora! :-) As you can see, you've got a lot of devoted fans out here, and we all adore you! As most fans know by now, Sam and Nora are heading for a major break-up on the show. (It's pretty obvious) So I'm asking all of you to help us out and join the campaign to "Keep Sam and Nora" together! Just wanted to add my positive comments about Larry's new role, and the chemistry between he and HBS. It just jumps off the screen in my opinion. My friend and I attended the SSW in Orlando and the lines to get Larry's autograph were the longest. I still remember Greg on AMC, and my friend was a big time AW supporter, so he was the one person we both wanted to see. Keep up the great work! We love you in this role!
To Larry: It speaks volumes about an actor who takes the time to confront his computer phobia and chat with his fans. Not many actors do that, and you're to be commended. You've always been a class act. Your corresponding on the site just underscores it. Now, about this 48 thing -- say it ain't so. It truly boggles the mind. Has it been that long? Good comment about the Emmy! Larry..I just wrote to you yesterday that we have our own writing campaign and now we get this "lovely" (deeply sarcastic meaning of the word "lovely") announcement! They needed to give you that and there would be no problem. Do those writers work together, or do they email their stories in and pick the "best" one out of a hat? Sometimes it was like we were in Llanview one day and feeling good or at least felt in balance, and then everyone forgot what happened in Llanview the next day. Enough to make your head spin. I think it says "volumes" that with a lack of a storyline and such inconsistent character development, that Sam and Nora have so many fans. We have had to endure a lot of obstacles and we are still here! You and HBS do an incredible job! I hope TPTB realize this! Have them ask some us! I am amazed how you find the time to write to your adoring fans. Both my parents are computer illerate. Good thing my step-mother isn't. She is not into soaps.--mom and I are. Larry, of course the scenes will break our hearts. We have waited 3 years for Sam to be given something good with Nora and for that we get ONE love scene (which was great BTW....which reminds me, do you know the computer lingo? BTW=by the way) and then the rug is pulled out from under us. Sam fans have been cheated for soooo long. This is such a nice site. I am so glad that there is an official page for Larry. So Mr. Lau you say you are turning 48, gee how do you do it? I just turned 42 and let's just say I want to know your secret! I do enjoy watching you on OLTL. I don't think that you get nearly enough time on the air. I think you have a wonderful knack for making almost every scene fun to watch. The other actors seem to really respond to you. I have to sign this again because Angela did, and she's my hero, so I have to try to copy everything she does. Anyway, she and I were just talking about how great it is that people are posting on here--and in the forum! And on Hillary's official sites message board (www.hillarybsmith.com) <---nice plug, huh? and the Sam & Nora boards, and EVERYWHERE...spreading the love! That's what I like to see. IMO, since Sam and Nora are breaking up--can we like have Lindsay & Sam get back together again? I know it seems she's a lost cause, but Lindsay ROCKS...and I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE for the FAB FOUR (Hillary, Cat, Larry, Ty) to keep doing scenes with each other. We trying to stick together like "glue", do you know what I mean? end of just jenn's part//////////////////////// It's really great that we have been posting on this site even before we knew of this announcement. We have been posting on our own "Sam and Nora" site too, and LLOnline before that. We are loyal fans of Larry's and have been for a while! We will keep on posting and mailing postcards, and giving support when we can or are allowed to! Larry has a great bunch of fans! Should we still have hope for them to stay together? I am not hearing that for the last few posts. Come on you everybody, let's do this together! I think there have been a lot of new visitors or at least more people signing the guest book since the announcement was made, which is great! I personally think we ALL need to do our part! My bottom line is that LL and HBS stay on the show with good writing and good character development. Hey I know there are a few stragglers..I am not stupid, but let's up the intelligence quotient in the writing, heh? Yes, I want Sam and Nora to stay together, but more importantly, I want these 2 actors to be given the respect that they deserve. I love to watch them together and I love how they interact with other characters also! Here's another important point! What the he** are they doing to Nora's character? Let's see, she sits on the sofa with Sam and tells him she loves him and he has nothing to be jealous of, and then a few hours later..she is in the cemetery telling Troy she has feelings for him and kisses him. Did it make HBS's head spin? It did mine! Now didn't Troy do a 180 degree turn also. He left his apt. after just "being" with Lindsay, being a total creep, to being with Nora and kissing her. He slips from creepdom to "I just want Nora to be happy" in 15 minutes. (He told Sam if he wanted N he would go after her, his goal as of yesterday was to take her from Sam), and now today it is "just that she be happy", even if it means she is with Sam. Total BS! And all of this head spinning makes the character of Sam look like a "sap", which he is not. The writers are destroying him with the writing for Nora and Troy! I only came to this site because Jenn mentioned it in her newsletter. Larry Lau rocks and I was so sad to read that Sam and Nora were breaking up. I love the way you call S/N/T/L the FAB FOUR! And I think that paring Lindsay and Sam would be interesting but really not smart because neither one of the characters are that popular. I have just started watching soap operas so I don't really know about this kind of stuff but whoever they pair Larry and Lindsay with I will always love their characters (and Catherine and Larry too!!) I just wanted to say that I will support Sam whether he is with Nora or not. I hope that Sam gets more screen time in the coming months because the show is so boring when Sam is not there. Even if Sam and Nora breakup there is always a chance for a reunion as long you and HBS are still on the show.
