Hi Larry! Those were great scenes between Sam and Blair. But I really need to know something. That kiss on Friday... is that the Larry Lau version of "stun and run"??? NEW WRITERS?!!? YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That makes me so happy, I really hope it's true. And I hope the new writer splits Troy and Nora, and makes Nora realize everything that she's missing with Sam.. and then Sam's like "Sorry, you're a little late." and gets to turn her down flat LOL That would be my big wish :) Even though I love Sam and Nora *tear*, I just want Sam to be like "Ummmm no." To her, just to shove it in her face a little.
Larry, I'm loving the Sam and Blair stuff. There is so much potential for Sam and Blair especially with Todd coming into the mix. I'm delighted that there will be new writers. Perhaps they will make Sam and Blair as exciting to watch and I imagine. I think OLTL overall has great ideas for stories, I just don't like the way they are executed. To me, they seem to fall flat, lack depth and take leaps that make no sense. Perhaps new writers will be just what OLTL and Sam needs. I hope so. Love your hair cut. I prefer it short. I think it makes you look even younger. Not that you need to look younger.:) I look forward to seeing you and Kassie work together. I would love to see you and Eddie together too! From a Soap Mag... Michael Malone and Josh Griffith will be returning to One Life To Live as head writers. If you remember they created the Todd/Marty rape story along with such "GREAT" characters as, Nora, Todd, Luna, Patrick, David Vickers, Blair and so many more characters. Their first airdate to be announced!
Nancy, you know I am usually quiet, but when I have something to say, you know the rule... get out of my way!! I had to ask the question and I hope Larry will answer it(enquiring minds want to know). On a serious note, Larry, I have to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your episode on soap talk about the 5 fingers of self defense. On my way to a Willie Nelson concert, I stopped at a rest area along the highway. As I pulled up, I noticed 3 guys by a pickup truck. They were watching me and whispering when I got out of my car. One of them started following me, and started to grab at my sweatshirt saying he wanted to see the Mickey mouse that was on the front of it. I slapped his hands off my sweatshirt and yelled at him to get his hands off me. I backed away from him to put some distance between us. I got in a defensive stance like you showed on TV, and yelled at the guy to back off!! Lucky for me there were other people there and they came out to see what was going on. The guy took off. I have to tell you I was really scared!! But If I hadn't learned the 5 fingers of defense, who knows what might have happened.

Michael Malone and Josh Griffith wrote the T&B golden balloon romance too. Somehow I don't think this bodes well for a Sam/Blair pairing, but I'm glad about that. I know I may be in the minority, but I do NOT want my Sam once again getting between a very popular couple. I want him to get a NEW woman with no baggage.

Glad you guys like the shows lately, it should continue to get more interesting. Have no idea what the new guys have in store, or if they even know who Sam is yet, but, I'll tell you, I read Michael Malone's HANDLING SIN six years ago and it was one the top three funniest books I've ever read in my life, so I'm guessing good things are coming.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to drop in and say hello, and hope everyone is doing great! I'm enjoying the great weather we are having here, it's getting cold, but it's such a beautiful time of year....ah the smell of late fall....love it!
I'm very happy to hear Michael Malone is coming aboard OLTL; he's fantastic! I expected we will all be very happy with the changes soon to come.
Way to go Tatermouse for thinking quick and using the self-defense Larry showed on SoapNet. My daughter and I have been looking into taking some Karate classes for awhile now, and over this past weekend ran into this very nice young man who teaches Karate and self defense classes at one of the health clubs in town. He's only sixteen, but already a black belt. I can't wait to start class! Not much else happening around here, I've been staying busy as usual. Along with my OLTL work, I've also been wrapped up in my writing lately, which has been exciting. I'm pushing for my project to be in final draft by January 1, so lots more to do! Fun, Fun!
Larry's Fan Club is doing great, and I want to personally thank everyone who has joined so far. I'll be sending out some new goodies to all of you soon! :-)

Hi Larry, it's great to see more of Sam on screen these days. The Sam and Blair storyline is going to be an interesting pairing. Kassie is so great in all of her scenes, she must be a dream to work with. I hope the new writing team can bring some fun back to OLTL. One Life has always had a comedic edge that other daytime dramas don't have.OLTL has such a great cast, I wonder why they struggle to come up with material that works for our favorites. I know I've said this before but I have to say it again. I really wish TPTB would NOT go the Blair/Sam route. Sorry, but seeing Sam sitting there with "Todd's family", taking Todd's place in the popular "Manning family", it just doesn't work for me, and I highly doubt this rushed relationship will have any strong fan support (other than LL fans, of course). I want MORE for Sam and LL. I want Sam to have a storyline that does NOT set him up as the odd man out in a love triangle...AGAIN. Sigh.

Larry, Larry, Larry! I PROMISED myself I wouldn't fall for a Sam/Blair pairing. I was DETERMINED to resist the temptation cuz I knew Todd would be back and it would be another uphill battle for Sam's character. But I gotta tell ya...OMG! I love it!!!! Blair has never looked so happy. Sam is the BEST when it comes to romance, cute, warm fuzzy stuff...so NOT TODD!...and Malone hasn't even been consulted yet! It was balanced so well for me today with the good Dr. Trolin going over the deep end over his dead wife and Nora walking in on a Bo/Gabby kiss. Can you say foreshadowing? Starr's approval was the icing on the cake. No doubt Todd will be back lying and faking amnesia...manipulating and scheming his way back into Blair's life and a dysfunctional family (and there will actually be fans rooting for him....go figure).
It is all so bittersweet for me Larry; I rooted for Sam and Nora and I got a nanosecond romance. Do TPTB like to torment Sam fans? Larry, after watching Greg on AMC, Jamie on AW, and Sam on OLTL, there is no question, YOU do romance like no other. I was sooooo ready to give up. Loved today's episode. Sam and Blair rock! Maybe Todd will be in and out of Llanview cuz he is too busy in some other town....oh say, Dawson's Creek. LOL. Donna:)
Hello all! I too have to add that today's scenes were just fantastic! I have to say that if the writing is decent, I can follow any coupling on the show. The writing actually is good for Sam and Blair so far! Surprise, surprise! To Jennifer: Perhaps you should check out the magazines and some of the websites out there...there is actually a pretty strong support for Sam/Blair (I think the dead baby thing won them over!) I have to agree, today's show was awesome! And Sam and Blair are a great couple! I am so happy to hear you say you liked them Donna. And I agree Dawson's Creek is a great place for "Todd" to stay, since I have never seen the show, and don't plan on it! (I think the dead baby thing did it for me too) I am a bad a$$! The poll in SID did NOT support Blair and Sam. Got this from DL: "SID - Readers' Poll - Question last issue: Do you think Sam and Blair would make a good couple? - 73% NOPE! 27% YEP! Possibly holding out for a reunion between Blair and Todd, it seems poor Sam comes in second best." I wish like heck they would give Sam a new woman!!!!
I voted no for Sam and Blair.. No offense Larry, I think the scenes are great.. But what's the point if Roger is coming back, to even try Sam and Blair? You know that they're going to put Blair and Todd back together.. yuck. I want Sammy to find someone NEW, and younger than he is, so Nora can be jealous LOL Hey wait, I'd be new.. I would like to say that I watch OLTL everyday and I enjoy you playing the role of Sam Rappaport.Especially when you have dialog w/Kassie(Blair Manning) ya'll both trip me with out on the show. I hope that you do get to stay on the show and I do hope that you end up with Blair as well. You both make a great couple on that show too.
OK.......Sam/Blair...Todd/Blair....I am personally happy to see OUR SAM get a chance to shine! And shine he is with Blair....what a great romantic storyline...something OLTL has been greatly LACKING for a LONG time! They work really well together! And Todd looked good with Starr...because I think she is the only person he has ever been nice to. I just want to enjoy it..no matter how long it lasts. Larry and his fans deserve some "happy" times! Tater update: I signed up for a women's self defense course at the Karate school today. Once I complete that course, I will start Karate lessons. Larry, awesome show today. Way to go Sam for not only defending Blair, but also his relationship with her!! Not that Sam owes Nora an explanation for anything that he does. He is a big boy and can make his own decisions. My dear family and friends, I have some very sad news to report today. This is so very hard for me to write but I wanted to let you all know that we had to put our kitty Spoo to sleep today. He apparently had a stroke last night and his system was shutting down. Its been a very sad day for the Kennedy's today. My Mom, Dad and I are very, very sad. Spoo was like a family member to us and he will always be in our hearts forever. I may not be online for awhile so please be patient with me. I'm very sad right now and I'm trying to cope with Spoo's death. He was 17 years old and it was his time to go. Fortunately, my parents and I got to spend his last hours with him before he was put to sleep. I held him in my lap for awhile and said my goodbye to him before my parents took him to the vet. My Dad was with Spoo the whole time he was getting put to sleep. We are letting the vet cremate him for us. We were going to bury him here in our front yard but its just too painful for us and my Dad didn't want to bring Spoo home after he was put to sleep because its just too hard for him and I can understand that. Anyways, please keep us in your prayers for this is a very difficult time for us. I'm so sad and have been in tears all day today. You can email me if you like or leave me offline messages, I don't know when I will get back with you but I will eventually. Also my appt with the neurologist is on Monday so I will find out what's going on with me. I thank ALL of YOU for EVERYTHING!! You are all truly the BEST! May God bless you! I LOVE you ALL! Larry, this has just been the best week; you were on five days! Sam/Blair are so great together. I really didn't think I would go for this but I don't won't Sam to be hurt again. Looking forward to more great scenes. I love the black shirt you were wearing also. And there is just something about the way you walked into Blair's house the other day! Now, as to that poll that had a majority preferring Todd/Blair vs. Sam/Blair, all I can say is, "Duh". (LOL) Todd and Blair have been together for how long? And Sam and Blair haven't even been on an official date yet. Gimme a break! And now that Todd is back, who knows where its going to go.
I think the new writing regime change due to take place sometime in November will put things in the air for awhile, cuz I see my schedule getting light again. I think storyline-wise we're just going to have to wait and see what the new guys come up with. My guess is it's going to be pretty good.
Now, just for the record, I only communicate thru this guest book. I don't have any special communication with anyone outside of this format. I need this to be very clear. Okay?
Also, Tatermouse, you should know that my Karate practice became a vary important part of my life, if you get with the right organization its about self discipline and character development, not only about acquiring self defense skills. It really helped my life in many ways, but it's also an art and as in any art it takes dedication. A seminar in self defense can give you more immediate tools to use in an emergency, like you already experienced. Just thought I'd point out the differance.

Not to harp on that whole poll thing, but Jennifer, the poll you are referring to was in the NEW SID. In the past few months, there has been a poll in both SID and Soap Weekly that were similar, and there was a far greater percentage of Sam/Blair fans than Todd/Blair fans. I can assume it had to do with the fact that Todd & Tea were on that island, and the TnT fans far outweighed the TnB fans. I also want it to be clear that I was a die-hard TnB fan for years, and it's only been recently that I've wanted them with other people. Probably because every time Roger comes and goes, it's the SAME thing...Blair goes back to him eventually. Let's change it up a bit! Also, for all the flak that Sam gets...SPW had that poll about who you'd like to be deserted with on an island and Sam was second to David Fumero...that really says a lot about people's liking of the Sam character. Hiya all! I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their weekend. I took the time to do some shopping this afternoon while I could con my father into baby-sitting and my mother into joining me LOL. I hope that TPTB realize how great you are Larry and continue to keep you involved in the storylines, although I am sure on occasion, you would like a little respite LOL. I am sad to hear you are not going to SSW, I was looking forward to trying out that chocolate lipstick with you ;o) I'll just put it away for the next opportunity I have to meet you again :o) If you want you could throw me a tiny little shred of hope that you might go to SSW.... Sorry, Jenn in NYC, but I'm not basing my notion that Sam/Blair is NOT popular ONLY on that SID poll. If you look at other neutral OLTL boards you will see that the vast majority do not want Blair with Sam...not to mention the die-hard Blair fans (not just T&B fans) who are violently opposed to seeing Blair with Sam. My main priority is SAM. I just don't want him in yet another no-win situation, with a female character who the majority of fans want with someone else. I don't see how supporting this pairing can help "Sam" or Larry. IMHO, what we should be doing is lobbying TPTB to put Sam with a woman with NO BAGGAGE. Again, this is JMHO.

Larry, thank you for taking the time to explain the difference between the self defense seminar and Karate. I just wanted you to know that I am already aware of the difference. that is why I am taking the women's self defense course first, to gain, as you said, the immediate tools to use, should the occasion arise again. enrolling in Karate is step 2 in my goal for self improvement. I am very undisciplined and my self confidence is on the very low side. By dedicating myself to this, I truly believe that I will become a stronger person INSIDE as well as outside. I am not doing this for you or anyone else, I am doing this for me.
I have been talking about studying Karate for a long time, but I always put it off. What happened to me was the kick in the pants that I needed to start making changes in my life. I personally know the positive effect Karate can have on a person. I enrolled my son in Karate when he was younger and the positive changes in his personality were incredible. I know this will take a lot of time and dedication, but the end result is that I will be a better person because of it. Larry, thank you for your input. HELLO LARRY! It was a very 'bright' week in Llanview. Favorite line of the week... "We should have Nora over more often." Wow, talk about a FULL SHINE!! Very cool stuff!! I just have to comment on the skooch...VERY CUTE! It's always great to see you in action. LOL! My opinion..>>>Sam needs more room to move around!<<< Catch that strut on film, it's PRICELESS!! As far as polls go, whatever! I really don't put much faith in that stuff. I know what I like, and don't really care about polls. Too many of those polls are unreliable. Hi Larry, I have a question. Do you like living in New York? And what is the best thing to see or do when someone is going to be in New York?
Hey everyone, Well I went to my neurologist today and he told me that I have major whiplash and I also have a concussion, cervical strain and sprain and cervical radiculopathy. He is having me get an MRI done on my cervical spine (neck,upper back) and a cat scan on my head. He is kind of concerned about a possible head injury besides the concussion. He told me that's why I'm having so much trouble with concentrating, focusing and talking like I have been. Another words I'm in bad shape!! I didn't think you could get a concussion with a car accident, but what do I know?? LOL..He prescribed me Soma's for a muscle relaxer, I have to take it 3 times a day, Naproxen for the inflammation I'm having on my neck, back and whole left side, and also percocets for the pain. I'm having the MRI and cat scan done on Thursday of this week. I follow up with the doctor on Monday Nov 4th at 11:00am. Once I follow up with him for the MRI and cat scan he is going to start therapy on my upper back and neck. He said that my neck feels like a rock, literally!! Sorry its taken me so long to post as my cousin Dusty came over not long after we came back from the doctor.

Hello everyone! To Ruth Anne: I know I'm not Larry, but I live in Manhattan as well and absolutely LOVE it. If you've never been here before and plan to come to the city (and you'll be here a few days), I recommend seeing a Broadway show that interests you, any of the art museums, Central Park, Little Italy to eat at least once, Times Square is fabulous at night, Battery Park City and the promenade down there are beautiful during the day. Those are some "touristy" things you can do...there's lots of cool things that you find if you live here, that aren't so touristy (and I keep 'em a secret so they don't become touristy..just kidding!) Have fun here if you are planning to come! The energy is just AMAZING!!! :) Jenn in NYC
